Even if you do nothing on the computer but send e-mails or simply hover over an innocent looking object, you are exposed to cyber risk. Cyber risk is any risk of financial loss, disruption or damage to the reputation of an organization due to digital technology behavior and systems; it is an evolution, growing in sophistication at rapid rates.  There are things you can and should be doing to protect yourself, your customers and your brand.  This presentation will include practical knowledge and best practices for proactively protecting your business in this tenacious environment.  When it comes to cyber risk, doing nothing is not an option for success.

Michael Mixell is a partner at Barley Snyder and a member of the firm’s Business, Personal Planning, and Finance groups. In his practice, he advises a broad range of clients in the areas of corporate succession and estate planning, as well as banking and commercial, corporate and real estate matters. Michael is also a member of the firm’s Practice Excellence committee with emphasis on process improvement, risk management, training and client service.

Donald Geiter is a partner at Barley Snyder and chair of the firm's Finance and Creditors' Rights group.As part of his practice, he counsels clients within the financial industry and beyond on cybersecurity and regulation involved with cybersecurity. Don has written articles and regularly presents on cybersecurity and how to protect a business from the problems a cyber breach can create.

David Kramer, MBA, is an experienced information systems consultant and the president of Domain Consulting Group (an information systems consulting company focused on enterprise resource planning (ERP) system implementations), and Domain Technology Group (an IT services and infrastructure company).  David’s experience includes management information systems consulting; systems analysis; systems design and implementations in large mainframe environments; analysis of “Big Data”; and design of complex distributed networks.  He has coauthored two books on relational database, and is a contributing blogger to the Huffington Post on ERP and Cyber Security topics.  David leads teams through successful implementations of enterprise planning systems.  Through David’s consulting and implementations, his clients experience dramatic improvements to their business processes resulting in efficiencies leading to an improved bottom line.

Larry Goncea is the backbone of Domain Technology’s infrastructure services. As Senior IT Consultant, Larry leads the Infrastructure and Managed Services at Domain and oversees server installations, network configurations, mail server setup, wireless installations, Microsoft Office 365 migrations, data backup configurations, network security and bandwidth management issues. Larry is the head of Domain’s Cybersecurity program, providing services such as IT assessments, vulnerability and penetration testing, incident investigations, data recovery among others.
