Project management is essential to the success of any professional and business model. Peter Christian, who is certified in Project Management and Senior Project Management by the American Management Association, is partnering with the O'Pake Institute's Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership to offer a full certification program in project management.
Peter Christian has a long and distinguished career in Project Management. As the head of Project Engineering at Binney and Smith (now Crayola Corporation) he led all major capital programs and projects. He and his staff managed 150 projects per year for the $650 million corporation, successfully completing all while staying within the budgets for each. He then went on to co-found and run espi, a distinguished consulting firm in the Greater Lehigh Valley of PA.
Project management is essential to any business as it paves the way for leadership, vision, motivation, removing roadblocks, coaching, and inspiring one's team to do their best work. This 9-week course will teach you how to serve your team by effectively leading and managing projects as well as how to ensure clear lines of accountability among many other skills. These skills include by are not limited to learning how to define what the ultimate goal of any projects are and how to ensure each member of your team knows their part is as well as how it affects the other team members. Overall, the course will allow you to navigate your managerial role and guide you in removing any obstacles that prevent team members from getting their tasks completed.
Registration in this certification program will include weekly zoom meetings starting February 9 from 5:30-6:30 for 9 weeks with the last course falling on March 31 from 5:30-6:30, recordings of each of the sessions for your convenience and flexibility, as well as extra resources and information on Blackboard.com.
